Our planet is facing an unprecedented decline in environmental health marked by rising carbon emissions, deforestation, and climate change impacts. Environmental issues of this nature not only threaten ecosystems but also heighten social tensions and resource-based conflicts. At this point, women have a critical role to play. As custodians of life, women must be fully involved in protecting the environment, promoting ecological security, and brokering sustainable peace. By allowing women to be at the forefront of environmental action, we create community resilience and pave the way for long-term conflict prevention and peacebuilding for future generations.
